The tub seat is crafted using 100% heartwood grade pieces of the finest natural teak wood, ensuring a unique natural wood grain pattern. It is designed to fit best with Alcove bathtubs and is not recommended for free-standing tubs. The wide seat surface supports up to 250 pounds and satisfies all ADA code requirements when properly installed.
The rear-hung tub seat easily folds up and is automatically held in a raised position 3" against the wall by a stainless-steel friction hinge bracket. This engineering ensures a smooth and consistent resistance when raising and lowering the seat, preventing it from falling or slamming against the tub. The tub frame is lined with rubber pads to provide protection to the tub surfaces when the seat is lowered.
